Macy O is a singer-songwriter who aims to push the boundaries of genre and address important themes with her powerful voice.
Macy was the Singer-Songwriter of the Year and UTUK Vocalist of the Year, alongside honours from the Worcester and Shropshire Music Awards. Recently named Breakthrough Producer of the Year by Production Futures, she continues to captivate audiences with stunning live performances and an unmistakable voice that has graced iconic venues such as The Cavern Club, The O2 London, Barbican London, and HMV Empire.
Festival highlights include appearances at Foodies Festival, Farmer Phil’s, Hay Festival, How The Light Gets In, KenFest, and Parklands, with recent collaborations and shared stages alongside chart-topping artists Bastille and Sam Ryder.
Macy O has recorded at many different recording studios, most notably SARM and Abbey Road Studios London and seeks to take her music to the masses. She has also performed with established names such as Scouting for Girls, James Arthur, Jason Allen and Bastille. Not only this, Macy has also been recognised frequently by the BBC, having acquired song of the week, month and artist of the month, she doesn’t have plans of stopping anytime soon and her next projects are already in the works!
Her Debut album ‘Journeys’ marks a considerable shift for Macy O away from musical theatre and into a career of music. Her music deals with themes of growing up, of loss and displacement and the everyday struggles being in a modern world which is so connected yet so lonely at the same time.
